ITINERARY

Day  01  :  Q.A.I. Airport – Amman
Arrive at Queen Alia International Airport. Transfer to your hotel in Amman.

Day  02  :  Am – Jerash – Anjara – Mar Elias – Umm Qais – Bethany
Morning visit the Roman city of Jerash before continuing north to visit the biblical town of Anjara where it is believed that Jesus Christ along with his mother Mary and disciples spent the night in a cave near the town, during a journey between Jerusalem and Galilee.  Drive on to biblical town of Tishbe, known as Listib; the birthplace and hometown of the Prophet Elijah. Proceed to the Decapolis city of Umm Qais, known by the Romans as Gadara & believed to be the site where Jesus Christ cast out demons from two men and forced the evil spirits to enter a herd of pigs, which in turn rushed down the steep slope and drowned in the Sea of Galilee. Drive along the Jordan Valley, where significant biblical events took place, to Bethany; the baptism site on the Jordan River for the overnight.

Day  03   :   Bethany – Mount Nebo – Madaba – Ma’in
Visit Bethany, the most important & extraordinary biblical site in Jordan where our Lord Jesus Christ came 2,000 years ago, to be baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist & where Prophet Elijah is said to have ascended into heaven. Proceed to visit Mount Nebo which dates back to the time of the Prophet Moses, around the 12th century BC and is believed to be the site of the Prophet’s burial place and from where he viewed the Holy Land. Continue t, drive to Madaba the “City of Mosaics” which is renowned for its magnificent collection of lavish Byzantine mosaics found in its churches & homes. Drive on to Ma’in.

Day  04   :  Ma’in – Machaerous – Mujib – Petra
Morning at leisure to enjoy the hot springs & hyper-thermal waterfalls of Ma’in which were already known & exploited in antiquity where pilgrims ended their trip bathing there. Drive to Machaerus; the castle of Herod the Great & the place where John the Baptist was beheaded. Continue along part of the 5,000-year-old Kings’ Highway & through the spectacular canyon of Wadi el-Mujib, biblically known as the Arnon, to the legendary city of Petra.

Day  05  :   Petra
Explore the legendary city of Petra which was carved entirely out of solid sandstone rock more than 2,000 years ago.

Day  06  :   Petra – Wadi Rum – Aqaba
Morning at leisure. At noon drive to Wadi Rum one of the most spectacular desert scenery in the world where you will explore its stunning landscape by Bedouin four-wheel drive vehicles.  Enjoy dining in the desert before driving to the Red Sea resort of Aqaba.

Day  07  :   Aqaba – Wadi Araba – Lot’s Cave – Dead Sea
Morning relax at the palm-fringed beaches of Aqaba. At noon, drive via Wadi Araba road along the Dead Sea Rift Valley to the Dead Sea; the lowest spot on earth, visiting en route Lot’s Cave where Lot & his two daughters sought refuge after the destruction of Sodom.

Day  08   :   Dead Sea ( Free )
Day at leisure in the Dead Sea, where one can experience floating ethereally on its saline waters without exerting any effort.  

Day  09   :  Dead Sea – Q.A.I. Airport
Transfer to Queen Alia International Airport for departure…
